BERLIN A record number of Germans support their country's membership in the European Union, believing it is a good thing, a new poll has shown. A DeutschlandTrend survey revealed that as many as 40 percent of Germans said EU membership brought benefits, marking the highest level ever recorded, AFP said. Germans "embracing EU more than ever" 19 percent said Germany's membership was leading to disadvantages, while 39 percent said benefits and disadvantages were balanced.
