BEIRUT Since the Syrian army began airstrikes in Aleppo more than 410 people died, according to a statement made in Beirut by the Observatory for Human Rights. The European Union and the Arab League urged an immediate end of attacks. "More than 400" reported dead in Syria fighting "From December 15 to 24, 410 people were killed, of whom 117 children, 34 women, 30 rebels and nine Jihadists from Iraq," said the Observatory. On Wednesday Aleppo and several of its neighborhoods came under attack. Warplanes were throwing "barrels of TNT at Nakrin where rebels are fighting the Syrian army," said reports. The head of EU diplomacy, Catherine Ashton, has expressed great concern over the bombings and the use of TNT. She urged an immediate cease of attacks and respect pf human rights.
