Elections for mayor of K. Mitrovica "to go to runoff"

RTS says that Civil Initiative Srpska candidate Krstimir Pantić, and Oliver Ivanović, who ran on the SDP ticket, have won the most votes in Kosovska Mitrovica.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA RTS says that Civil Initiative Srpska candidate Krstimir Pantic, and Oliver Ivanovic, who ran on the SDP ticket, have won the most votes in Kosovska Mitrovica. The two will compete in the runoff for the mayor of the northern part of this town, according to this report. Elections for mayor of K. Mitrovica "to go to runoff" Pantic has "several hundred votes more" than Ivanovic, but the report published earlier in the day said that the "precise difference will be known only after the conditional votes have been counted, which could take a few days." According to the Kosovo Election Commission's preliminary results announced on Monday, Pantic won 2,173 votes (36.89 percent), while Ivanovic received 1,670 votes (28.35 percent). The Democratic Party of Kosovo candidate Agim Deva received 1,190 votes (20.2 percent). Radio Kontakt Plus from Kosovska Mitrovica reported that Pantic failed to win more than 50 percent of the votes of those who turned out on Sunday, and that he and Ivanovic would go to the second round.
