Serbian and Croatian defense ministers meet in Belgrade

BELGRADE The defense ministers of Serbia and Croatia Nebojsa Rodic and Ante Kotromanovic met in Belgrade on Monday to discuss defense and security cooperation. During the meeting, the officials noted that the existing cooperation between Serbia and Croatia is very successful, especially concerning the exchange of experiences relating to the engagement in multinational operations, transformation of armed forces, logistics and CBRN defense, the Serbian Ministry of Defense said. Serbian and Croatian defense ministers meet in Belgrade "The Republic of Serbia is interested in improving military cooperation in the fields of education and medicine, as well as ensuring economic cooperation and joint entry to third markets," Rodic underscored. The defense ministers talked about possible joint engagement in multinational operations, and Croatia's experiences when it comes to improving administrative capacities within the EU Common Security and Defense Policy. Rodic and Kotromanovic agreed that bilateral relations between Serbia and Croatia are of particular importance for the future of the region, and noted that Croatia's EU entry is strong impetus for its European perspective.
