President Nikolić receives Cardinal Scola

We regard that as our great treasure, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Friday during a meeting with His Excellency Cardinal Angelo Scola, the Archbishop of Milan and special envoy of Roman Catholic Pope Francis. President Nikolic receives Cardinal Scola Scola, who came to Serbia to take part in the celebrations of 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, extended the pope's greetings and regards to the Serbian president, Nikolic's office said in a statement. Cardinal Scola emphasized that Serbia has always been a unique crossroads of numerous cultures and religions, reflecting in that regard the highest values inspired by Europe - call for peace and respect for differences. Nikolic thanked for the Vatican's principled position regarding the non-recognition of the independence of Kosovo and Metohija.
