The war crimes prosecutor's offices of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina agreed in Sarajevo on mutual help and concrete cooperation in a number of war crime cases.

SARAJEVO The war crimes prosecutor's offices of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina agreed in Sarajevo on mutual help and concrete cooperation in a number of war crime cases. The meeting between the delegations of the two prosecutions headed by chief prosecutors Vladimir Vukcevic and Goran Salihovic presented the activities in concrete cases and agreed on further cooperation in a joint fight against unpunished war crimes on the two countries' EU paths, the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office said. After informing the Serbian Prosecutor's Office about the possible location of bodies of victims of the Strpce crime, some remains were found in the vicinity of the site and a detailed analysis will determine the identities, the statement reads. The Bosnian prosecution promised full support and cooperation in finding remains of victims, their exhumation and identification. Vukcevic and Salihovic also discussed the cases of Dobrovoljacka Street and Tuzla Column. The Serbian delegation was informed about recent delivery of evidence in two war crime cases in the area of Srebrenica in which the charges have been raised and the suspects are located in the territory of Serbia. “The cooperation in the war crime cases has to develop and continue so that Bosnia and Serbia could solve the cases which burden the process of the rule of law and the process of reconciliation in the region,” Salihovic underlined. Serbian prosecution officials informed their Bosnian colleagues about the activities on the check of the places of residence and citizenship of a great number of suspects in the territory of Serbia. The Belgrade prosecutors expressed great gratitude to the associations of families of Srebrenica war crime victims and the Mothers of Srebrenica and Zepa enclaves movement for giving consent and support to the prosecution of the accused of Srebrenica crimes who are in Serbia.
