BELGRADE Aleksandar Vulin says the name change of the single Serb list was "yet another proof as to how much it matters to Belgrade that the Serbs go to the polls." It is also important to Belgrade that they form a community of Serb municipalities (ZSO), the minister without portfolio in charge of Kosovo and Metohija was quoted as saying by Tanjug on Monday. "Bad signal by Pristina, Serbs will go to polls" Commenting on the Kosovo Central Electoral Commission's decision to reject the initial name of the list "Civic Initiative Serbia", which was then changed into "Serb Citizens' Initiative", Vulin voiced hope that this was Pristina's last attempt at stopping Kosovo Serbs from going to the polls. “We changed the list's name unwillingly, but in agreement with Kosovo Serbs and the people whose names are on the list,” Vulin said in a statement to Tanjug. The insistence on the list's name change indicates that Pristina “does not want the Serbs to have their identity.” “That is a bad political signal, but it will not succeed in stopping Kosovo Serbs from casting their ballot in the elections and forming a community of Serb municipalities,” Vulin said. “The Government of the Republic of Serbia is calling on all Serbs to go to the polls, assume responsibility for their future, for their children - to help us form the ZSO, as it will be that constitutional category through which we will continue financing the life in the area of Kosovo-Metohija,” Vulin underscored.
