GORAZDEVAC - Residents of the Kosovo village of Gorazdevac marked the tenth anniversary of the killing of two Serb boys. Residents of the Kosovo village of Gorazdevac marked the tenth anniversary of the killing of two Serb boys Tuesday and noted that the perpetrators of the heinous crime remain at large after EULEX closed its unsuccessful investigation. EULEX urged to reopen investigation Aleksandar Vulin, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo, said after a service held at the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Gorazdevac that it is a disgrace that no one from EULEX attended the commemoration of the murder of Serb children, and asked the EU mission to reopen its investigation into the crime. "I demand of EULEX that they either admit they are completely powerless and cannot solve any crime against Serbs, or to reopen the investigation in the case of the children killed on the Bistrica river. If they cannot do this, I wonder where they get the authority to try and judge any other case," said Vulin. "A crime which is not punished always threatens to repeat itself, which is why are asking EULEX to reopen the investigation," said Vulin. Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, who led the service, said "the most painful thing is that ten years on, earthly justice has still not been done and the worst crime to take place in this area is being covered up, intentionally or unintentionally." Some of the survivors of the 2003 attack were present at the service. Two children were killed and another four wounded from a light machine gun while swimming in the Bistrica river ten years ago Tuesday. The attack claimed the lives of Ivan Jovovic, 19, and Pantelija Dakic, 12, while Djordje Ugrenovic, 20, Bogdan Bukumiric, 14, Marko Bogicevic, 12, and Dragana Srbljak, 13, were seriously wounded. EULEX closed its investigation two years ago, but says it could resume it at any time if new information surfaces. At the time of the attack, UNMIK police said they would leave no stone unturned to find the killers, but just like in the case of so many other crimes against Serbs in Kosovo, the investigation never got off the beginning.
