A vast majority of people oppose early parliamentary election and, according to a poll carried out by Ispos Strategic Marketing agency. People feel that a reshuffled government will work better than its predecessor,according to the same poll, as published by the Beta news agency on Sunday. Ipsos Poll: 79% of People Oppose Early Election The poll was made by telephone on July 31 on a sample of 1,200 adult citizens of Serbia. It has shown that four-fifths of the population or 79 percent believe that it is better for the government to be reshuffled than for the country to go to the early parliamentary polls. According to the survey findings, also 84 percent of the population have heard about the decision that the URS (United Regions of Serbia) and Mladjan Dinkic should be leaving the government, with 53 percent feeling that this decision is good for Serbia and half that number or 28 percent not sharing their view; as well, 61 percent feel that the government will work better without the URS. Most of those who believe that a reshuffled government will work better are young people, with as many as 70 percent of people aged between 18 and 29 years holding this view, the survey showed. The reshuffle situation is followed by 60 percent of the population, with 15 percent doing so very carefully, most of them elderly people, specifically 71 percent of people above the age of 65 years, the survey findings showed.
