Gazprom launches gas station network in Bosnia

The Serbian oil company NIS, a daughter company of Russia's Gazprom Neft, has opened 27 gas stations in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

BELGRADE The Serbian oil company NIS, a daughter company of Russia's Gazprom Neft, has opened 27 gas stations in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The stations operate under the Gazprom brand, Beta is reporting. Gazprom launches gas station network in Bosnia A press release issued by Gazprom Neft said that, besides Bosnia, the project for developing a new network of Gazprom gas stations was expanding to Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. The statement stressed that more than 250 gas stations would be constructed in the Balkans by the end of 2015, including 40 in Bosnia, where Gazprom is expected to cover around 15 percent of the fuel retail market. The first NIS gas station under the Gazprom brand in Bosnia opened in January. In 2012, NIS purchased 28 gas stations from the Austrian OMV in Bosnia.
