BUDVA Ahead of the first Pride Parade in Montenegro on Wednesday, "death notices" have been put up in the town of Budva for one of the organizers. Unknown persons put up the notices on several locations. They feature the picture and the name of LGBT Forum Progress NGO President Zdravko Cimbaljevic. However, the minister said that the government would be represented. The Montenegrin police said they would "do everything within their authority to make sure the gathering goes without any incidents." The LGBT Forum Progress also announced that by the end of the summer, another Pride Parade would be held in Montenegro. The Montenegrin government on Tuesday strongly condemned the appearance of the death notices, while several thousand residents and tourists in this seaside resort signed a petition against the holding of the parade, that will be handed to the Budva mayor. Speaking earlier, Cimbaljević said that the parade in Budva will be an indicator of the degree to which the Montenegrin society is capable of accepting and nurturing diversity.
