BELGRADE Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic says "a change of prime minister" is not a government reshuffle but the formation of a new government. This is only possible after an election or the formation of a new coalition, he said on Thursday. "New PM only after elections, or via new coalition" Asked to comment on the statement of First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic - who said he could easily take over the post of prime minister if he wanted - Dacic said the political numbers for something like this are there, but the question is whether the political will is also there. "Vucic and I meet so many times in the course of a day, our lives are tied because we have achieved the best results in the history of parliamentarism in Serbia. We have opened talks on EU membership and reached a key and historic agreement with Pristina so that our people could live a normal life," said Dacic. "We can hardly escape one another. What we are doing is the interest of the citizens and the state," Dacic told a news conference after a meeting with European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin. He said a meeting of the ruling coalition leaders on the topic of a government reshuffle has not been scheduled yet, but might begin on Saturday. (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
