BRUSSELS The part of the technical talks between Belgrade and Pritsina dealing with the issue of electric power distribution in the Kosovo north ended Wednesday evening. Other topics will be discussed on Thursday, Tanjug reported. No agreement on energy, other topics on Thursday Serbian Energy Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said that the talks yielded no agreement on the distribution of electric power in the north of Kosovo. “There are many open questions,” the minister told reporters while leaving the European External Action Service (EEAS) building in Brussels, where she spent more than five hours in talks with a Pritsina delegation led by Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri. Mihajlovic pointed out that it is in the interest of both parties that the agreement is implemented, but a deal on electricity needs to be reached at a level higher than technical. The technical talks, during which expert groups simultaneously discussed a range of issues related to the implementation of the agreement reached in Brussels on April 19, begun on Monday with discussions on electricity, telecommunications, judiciary and local elections in the north of Kosovo, and will resume tomorrow. Staying in Brussels Thursday will be Presidential Adviser Marko Djuric, coordinator for the implementation of the agreement Aleksandar Vulin and Serbian Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic, who will continue discussing judiciary and other issues concerning the implementation plan with the Pritsina delegation. A working dinner between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton is planned for Thursday evening.
