The first shipment of 3,200 Fiat 500L cars, to be sold in the U.S. have arrived in Baltimore, from where they will be sent to shops throughout the country.

BALTIMORE The first shipment of 3,200 Fiat 500L cars, to be sold in the U.S. have arrived in Baltimore, from where they will be sent to shops throughout the country. "The ceremony at the Baltimore port," Tanjug is reporting, "was attended by Serbia's Ambassador to the U.S. Vladimir Petrovic, former member of the U.S. Congress Hellen Delich Bentley, Fiat officials and port management." Fiat's vehicles from Kragujevac arrive in U.S. The Italian ship belonging to Grimaldi Lines will continue towards Halifax, Canada, after Baltimore. The mass production of the 500L model for the North American market began in Kragujevac, in the largest car factory in Southeast Europe, in March. Petrovic said he was very pleased with the arrival of the first Fiat cars in the U.S., because it could give momentum to exporting other Serbian products to the U.S. too.
