KOSJERIC Local elections are underway in the small western Serbian town of Kosjeric. Citizens can vote at 29 polling stations until 20:00 CET. 158 candidates from seven electoral lists are running for 27 seats in the municipal assembly. Local elections held in western town 10,257 citizens are eligible to vote. 9.11 percent of voters cast their ballots by 10:00 CET. The previous ruling majority consisted of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), while the Democratic Party (DS), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and Serbian renewal movement were the opposition.
