MOSCOW Aleksandar Vucic has arrived on a two-day visit to Moscow, where he will meet with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Thursday. Vucic is Serbia's first deputy prime minister and minister of defense. Vucic arrives in Moscow, to meet with Shoigu tomorrow According to announcements, Vucic and his Russian counterpart will discuss the purchase of Russian MIG-29M2 planes. The Serbian official said in early May that the planes will mostly likely be paid through a credit arrangement and more details about the cost will known after his visit to Russia. Vucic and Shoigu will meet on the sidelines of an international conference "Military and Political Aspects of European Security," taking place in Moscow on May 23 and 24. Participants include European defense ministers, representatives of EU member countries, representatives of all NATO member countries except Ireland, a representative of the U.S. deputy secretary of state, representatives of OSCE and military experts. After Moscow, Vucic will travel to Sochi, where Serbian and Russian presidents Tomislav Nikolic and Vladimir Putin will sign a declaration on a strategic partnership between the two countries.
