BELGRADE A new meeting between PMs Ivica Dacic, Hashim Thaci and EU's Catherine Ashton will be pointless if no progress is made in talks on the deal's implementation. This is according to Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) MP Bojan Djuric. “Progress in talks on implementation must be made” “If this does not happen, this will be the last opportunity for the EU to send a clear message to Belgrade and Pristina that they cannot solve their relations by interpreting the agreement in dozens of different ways in their public and in further talks try to get additional benefit that was not a part of the arrangement,” he stressed. Djuric told Tanjug that “we will not get anywhere” if the Serbian prime minister needed to “additionally decide on some things” every month in Brussels. “I am afraid that we have used the weeks after the Brussels agreement in the worst possible way. That tensions are so high in the society that the prime minister cannot go to Brussels with a clear and brave position that it the most important at the moment,” the LDP MP pointed out. He added that this was a “big lesson for Serbia” in the European integration that the country was facing. Ashton has invited Dacic and Thaci to a meeting in Brussels on May 21.
