ANKARA Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that his country will not allowed itself to dragged into "the Syrian quagmire." Erdogan spoke on Sunday, a day after 46 people died in two explosions in a Turkish town near the Syrian border. Turkey "won't be dragged into Syrian quagmire" The incident caused concern that Turkey might get involved in the civil war in Syria. "We must maintain our extreme cool-headedness in the face of efforts and provocations to drag us into the bloody quagmire. Those who target Turkey will be held to account sooner or later,” he was quoted as saying. The Turkish authorities also announced that nine Turkish citizens were detained in connection with Saturday's attack in Reyhanli.
