BELGRADE Belgrade's liaison officer Dejan Pavicevic has stated that an exchange of liaison officers between Belgrade and Pristina can be expected soon. He said he expected all elements significant for the functioning of the liaison officers to be defined after Easter and that their exchange could be expected soon after. “Belgrade, Pristina will exchange liaison officers soon” “At the end of next week, meaning after Easter, it is expected that another round of technical talks about the arrangement will be held and we think that everything important for the functioning of the liaison officers will be defined at those talks,” Pavicevic told Tanjug. “Let me point out once again that the liaison officers will not have any diplomatic status and that their primary role will be to monitor all agreements that have been reached so far and what is most important right now – to monitor the implementation of the Brussels agreement,” he explained. Pavicevic noted that the liaison officers were expected to facilitate communication, make the implementation of the agreements easier and solve possible problems on the spot. He said that it had not yet been agreed where the next round of the technical talks would be held but that it would most likely take place in Brussels. Pavicevic stressed that according to a plan, both liaison officers would start working the same day. Dejan Pavicevic (Beta, file) Tanjug
