Govt. to discuss Brussels agreement on Sunday or Monday

The Serbian government will hold a session on an agreement between Belgrade and Priština on Sunday or Monday, Slavica Đukić-Dejanović has said.

BELGRADE The Serbian government will hold a session on an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina on Sunday or Monday, Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic has said. “Consultations among political subjects will be held today and tomorrow afternoon and I think we will have a government session either tomorrow night or on Monday morning,” the health minister said and stressed she was convinced that the government’s decision will be positive. Govt. to discuss Brussels agreement on Sunday or Monday When asked if there was time to hold a parliament session, bearing in mind that top officials would decide whether Serbia would accept the draft agreement or not by Monday, Djukic-Dejanovic said that it would be technically impossible. “However, we know that we will have a majority in parliament by Monday at the latest, that is completely clear,” she said. The minister said that there was no doubt that a maximum had been reached in Brussels under the given circumstances and that this step gave Serbia a political and economic perspective. According to a source from the ruling coalition, the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will voice its stance on the agreement initialed in Brussels on Sunday at the Main Board meeting. “It is expected that other parties of the ruling coalition will by Monday make their decisions on the agreement which was initialed in Brussels,” the source told Beta news agency. Serbian PM Ivica Dacic said on Friday that Belgrade would on Monday inform the EU whether it accepted the offer.
