NEW YORK Serbia and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassadors to the UN Feodor Starcevic and Abdallah Al-Mouallimi have signed a protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations. The protocol was signed in New York on Wednesday. Serbia, Saudi Arabia establish diplomatic ties In a short conversation that took place before the signing, both parties voiced satisfaction with the establishment of diplomatic ties and willingness to intensively develop cooperation in all areas, both at bilateral and international level, Tanjug was told at the Serbian mission to the UN. In the near future, Serbia will open an embassy in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia in Belgrade, Tanjug has reported. The ceremony of signing the document was also attended by UN General Assembly President Vuk Jeremic. Welcoming the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, Jeremic expressed belief that this would contribute to the strengthening of mutual cooperation.
