BELGRADE Democratic Party (DS) whip Borislav Stefanovic says it is was flippant that nobody other than members of the negotiating team knows what Belgrade was offered. He stressed that the DS was ready to contribute “if someone decides to inform us about what was offered”. DS urges authorities to inform public about EU’s offer “Tuesday is deadline for the response and I do not know if someone is playing with the country’s future since they are not ready to come before MPs and say what we should debate and decide,” Stefanovic told reporters in parliament. “The DS is aware of the difficult situation and that it was hard to reach an agreement between two bad solutions,” he added and stressed that it was “only decent” to tell the public and the MPs about the offer. “We need to know if it is a paper or something (Kosovo PM Hashim) Thaci has requested. We are facing a crucial choice but let us see what the choice is first,” the DS official underscored. He noted that the ruling majority was facing problems and was looking to switch responsibility on others. “The authorities are trying to switch responsibility among themselves and then on the entire society, political scene and political parties,” Stefanovic concluded.
