Company donates RSD 20mn to Belgrade clinic The money will be used to buy the necessary equipment for the clinic’s intensive care unit where prematurely born and babies with health problems will be treated. Representatives of Nordeus and B92 Fund were welcomed by Narodni Front Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic Director Dr Dusan Stanojevic. “More than 7,000 babies are born in our maternity ward every year. Many of them are not lucky enough to be born healthy and when they are due – around ten percent are born prematurely and around 15 percent are babies from high-risk pregnancies from the entire country that are treated at our Pregnancy Pathology Ward. We need modern, highly sophisticated equipment to treat these babies,” Stanojevic explained. “Nordeus company’s donation will allow us to form a respiratory unit at the newly renovated neonatal intensive care unit. This will mean life to some babies and for many reduction in the long-term morbidity and improvement of the quality of life. The ward should be opened in May and I hope that all those present here today will be with us on that day, proud of what they provided,” he added. Dusan Stanojevic, Jovana Gajic and Veran Matic (B92) Nordeus Finance Director Jovana Gajic reiterated that the company did its best to set various business standards in Serbia. Nordeus was named the best European startup company in 2011 and the most desirable employer in Serbia in 2012.
