BELGRADE Normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina relations would later mean a UN seat for Kosovo and Bundestag would in that case give up on some conditions for Serbia. This is according to the ruling Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU)- Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CSU) coalition's advisor Hans-Joachim Falenski. “We may give up on some conditions if Kosovo gets UN seat” “The most important thing is to have the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina that would make way for mutual respect which would later include Serbia’s consent to Kosovo’s UN seat. If the situation developed this way, we in Bundestag would be ready to tolerate failure to fulfill some additional conditions,” Falenski told Belgrade-based daily Politika. “The final say in Germany’s consent or refusal to grant Serbia a date (for the beginning of the EU accession talks) will not have the government or the Foreign Ministry, but we, the MPs,” he was quoted as saying.
