BRUSSELS The number of Serbian citizens seeking asylum in the EU increased by 6,000 in 2012 compared to the year before, according to Eurostat data. The data indicate there were 332,000 asylum requests in the EU last year. Number of asylum seekers from Serbia increases Close to 20,000, or 6 percent, of that number came from Serbian citizens, and 12,800 of those were filed in Germany.
