BELGRADE A Falkensteiner hotel was opened in Belgrade and a sponsor contract between the Falkensteiner Group and the team of Novak Djokovic was presented at the event. The Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG) presented at the opening event the contract which states that the group's hotels will be the new sponsor featured on the hats of the coach and physical therapist of Novak Djokovic during the Grand Slam tournaments in Paris, Wimbledon and New York. He told a news conference just before the opening he believed it would take around 15 years for the EUR 45 million investment in the Belgrade hotel to pay off. The hotel's architect, Boris Podrecca, told Tanjug he was very happy with the look of the building, adding that Belgrade's greatest architectural potential lay along the rivers. The view from Kalemegdan along the Danube is fantastic and one of Belgrade's privileges, similar to what Hamburg, Rotterdam, Porto and Barcelona have, he noted. "Belgrade has a fantastic identity and does not need some special globalization, because the city should not speak Esperanto in architecture, but keep its uniqueness," the architect concluded.
