BELGRADE The Democratic Party (DS) has called on the authorities to ban organization SNP Nasi over Zoran Djindjic placards saying “A foreign agent, not a national hero”. The Democrats also called on the authorities to punish all those responsible for the latest campaign against the assassinated prime minister. DS calls for ban of right-wing group over Djindjic posters The party called for the removal of “shameful posters” from the streets. SNP Nasi announced earlier on Sunday that they had started putting up posters in Aradjelovac, Mladenovac and Novi Sad. The posters picturing Djindjic have a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) logo in the background. “This is a response to a scandalous campaign in Serbia which is aimed at presenting late Prime Minister Dr Zoran Djindjic as a visionary and a politician who generations should follow,” the organization said in a release. The DS noted that SNP Nasi continued their activities “full of hate, violence and called for lynch and persecution of all people who do not suit them for some reason” with a “shameful campaign against murdered DS leader and Serbian prime minister”. The Democrats pointed out in the release that Djindjic “gave his life for the forming of a society that is completely opposite to everything that this and similar extremist, retrograde organizations advocate”.
