BELGRADE Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic received U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby on Thursday in Belgrade. Nikolic told the diplomat that the assistance of the United States in the international community would help reach a solution to the Kosovo andMetohija issue that would be acceptable to both sides. He added that the U.S. is aware of President Nikolic's desire to help restore stability in the Balkans, that much has already been done and that it is good that these actions are producing concrete results, the release said. Ahead of the talks in Brussels, Nikolic said, Serbia's representatives are ready to further clarify any questions regarding the Resolution passed by the Serbian parliament that are considered by the international community to have been vaguely explained.
