Radicals mark ten years of Šešelj's incarceration

The Serb Radical Party (SRS) organized a protest drive on Friday, marking ten years since their leader Vojislav Šešelj has been detained at the Hague Tribunal.

NOVI SAD The Serb Radical Party (SRS) organized a protest drive on Friday, marking ten years since their leader Vojislav Seselj has been detained at the Hague Tribunal. The party's activists and officials held the protest in Novi Sad. Radicals mark ten years of Seselj's incarceration Some 50 cars took part, draped with party flags and other symbols. No incidents have been reported. SRS Novi Sad branch chief Djuradj Jaksic told reporters that today's "Blue Caravan" was meant to promote a central gathering to mark the anniversary, to be held indoors in Belgrade on February 24. Vojislav Seselj voluntarily surrendered to the court on February 24, 2003, and has been incarcerated there since. His trial on war crimes charges is still ongoing. (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
