BELGRADE German Ambassador to Serbia Heinz Wilhelm stated on Wednesday evening that German officials wanted to encourage Serbia on its EU pathway. He added that if the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue yielded results, Serbia would stand good chances of getting a date for the beginning of the EU accession talks. "Germany encourages Serbia on EU pathway" “I have received a feedback on the talks between the Serbian delegation and officials in Berlin, and it is very positive,” Wilhelm told Tanjug. When asked to comment on the message that the German officials conveyed to the Serbian delegation in Berlin, he said that German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle gave encouragement to (Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar) Vucic for continuation of Belgrade's dialogue with Pristina. “We have to wait for the outcome of the talks between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, and if they yield results, Serbia will stand good chances of getting a date for the beginning of the EU accession talks,” Wilhelm said at a reception of the German Tourist Organization organized in the City Hall. A Serbian delegation headed by Vucic is on a few-day visit to Berlin, while the fifth round of the political dialogue was held in Brussels on Wednesday. Dacic said after the talks that an agreement on institutions in north Kosovo had not been reached but that certain progress had been made, adding that the dialogue would continue on March 4.
