BELGRADE The ruling Serb Progressive Party (SNS) enjoys the support of 36 percent of Serbians, a new Faktor Plus poll has shown. Beta is reporting that the opposition Democratic Party (DS), and the three-party coalition around the ruling Socialists (SPS) came in second and third with 15.3 and 11.8 percent respectively. According to the Faktor Plus research, the parties that would pass the five-percent election threshold are the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), backed by 7.3 percent of respondents, the ruling United Regions of Serbia (URS) (5.2 percent), and the opposition Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) with 5.1 percent. The most popular party leader is the Serbian Progressive Party's Aleksandar Vucic, with 56 percent of respondents giving him their approval, followed by Democratic Party president Dragan Djilas and Serbian Socialist Party head Ivica Dacic, with 23 percent each.
