BELGRADE The Special Court should today decide whether Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic’s custody will be extended. The court will also decide on custody of the Delta Holding owner's son Marko Miskovic and Nibens Group owner Milo Djuraskovic who are also suspected of abuses in road construction and maintenance companies. Prosecutor requests extension of custody for Miskovic Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic told B92 that the Prosecution had requested from the court to extend the custody to the three suspects. Their one-month custody will expire on Saturday. The suspects were remanded in custody because they were a flight risk and due to concern that they could influence witnesses. According to the Criminal Procedure Code, the court can extend the custody by another two months, place them under house arrest or release them pending trial. If their custody is extended by two more months, the Appellate Court in Belgrade will then be in charge of deciding on further extension until the indictment is raised. Six witnesses were questioned by the Organized Crime Prosecution on Thursday in the case against Miskovic and another nine suspects. Three employees of brokerage firms and workers of PZP Nis road company gave their statements, said Djuraskovic’s attorney Zoran Ateljevic. He added that another three witnesses should be questioned today and that the questioning would continue next week. Ateljevic noted that he “is not optimistic” when it came to the release of his client and Miroslav and Marko Miskovic. The Delta Holding owner, his son, Djuraskovic and another seven suspects were arrested on December 12 on suspicion that they committed abuse of office and illegally obtained around EUR 30mn.
