NEW YORK Outgoing U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been hospitalized in New York because of a blood clot. According to reports, it formed due to a brain concussion which she suffered earlier this month. U.S. Secretary of State Clinton hospitalized Doctors found the clot on Sunday during a checkup, said Ckinton's spokesman Philip Raines. He declined to specify the location where the blood clot had formed, and stated that Clinton was taking anticoagulants and would be in hospital for observation for at least 48 hours. "Doctors will continue to monitor her condition. They will decide on the next steps," Raines said in a statement. Hillary Clinton (65) suffered a brain concussion after falling at home in mid-December, while recovering from a stomach virus.
