A Special Court judge has remanded Delta Holding owner Miroslav Mišković, his son Marko, Milo Đurašković and another four suspects in custody for 30 days.

BELGRADE A Special Court judge has remanded Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic, his son Marko, Milo Djuraskovic and another four suspects in custody for 30 days. Aside from the Delta Holding owner, his son and Djuraskovic, Zoran Mihajlovic, Dejan Jevtic, Risto Ristic and Raso Zdravko were also remanded in custody. Delta Holding owner remanded in custody for 30 days Milutin Gasevic, Zoran Kaitovic and Predrag Filipovic were released pending trial. They are not allowed to leave their place of residence and the country and their passports have been seized. Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic told Beta news agency that the Prosecution had after the questioning issued an order to conduct an investigation, noting that there was suspicion that the arrested men committed abuse of office. Radisavljevic stressed that most of the suspects denied the allegations but that the Prosecution was sure that there was reasonable doubt that they committed the crimes they were accused of. He said that the prosecution would in the continuation of the investigation continue to collect evidence and that a final decision on the further course of the proceeding would then be made. Miskovic’s lawyer Zdenko Tomanovic refused to make any statements on Thursday until his client presented his defense. Miskovic and other suspects were arrested on Wednesday morning on suspicion of abuse of office during privatization of road construction and maintenance companies. According to the criminal charges, the Delta Holding owner, his son and Djuraskovic abused office and illegally obtained money in the period from 2005 until 2010 as co-owners of PZP Nis road company and other firms. Milutin Gašević, Zoran Kaitović and Predrag Filipović were released pending trial. They are not allowed to leave their place of residence and the country and their passports have been seized.
