“Jarinje crossing to be opened on Monday”

JARINJE Head of the Serbian team in the technical dialogue Dejan Pavicevic has stated that the Jarinje crossing will be operational as of Monday. Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantic told reporters on Saturday that “representatives of citizens who took part in drafting conclusions yesterday are aware that construction works on buildings that will be used for the integrated crossings management need to continue“. “The Jarinje administrative crossings in northern Kosovo will start working on Monday, December 10, in accordance with the integrated management system, although construction work on it will not be completely finished by then,” Pavicevic told B92. He toured the crossing on Saturday and said that first vehicles and persons would go through Jarinje on Monday at 8:00 CET. Pavicevic told B92 that there would be “no drastic differences” between the integrated and the previous crossing. He said that citizens would be able to cross with only ID cards. He also added that northern Kosovo Serbs had been given written guarantees from the Serbian government that the integrated management at the crossing would not bring “drastic changes”.
