JARINJE Northern Kosovo Serbs have continued their protest and spent another night in Jarinje, blocking construction works at the crossing. They have been blocking the construction of buildings necessary for the implementation of the integrated crossings agreement. Serbs spend another night at crossing in northern Kosovo Serbs say they are determined to stay at the crossing until they get solid, written guarantees that there will be no border between Kosovo and central Serbia and that they will be able to use their Serbian documents. Last night was peaceful and the protesting citizens were gathered around campfires and in two tents, despite the low temperatures. They said they would not leave until their representatives, who should meet with top Serbian officials in Belgrade today, return with the written guarantees. Officials of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and Serb Radical Party (SRS) joined the citizens on Wednesday and stressed they would protest until requests of the northern Kosovo Serbs have been fulfilled.
