BELGRADE An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will continue technical talks in Belgrade with Serbia's government officials. The talks will last until November 19, Tanjug has learnt at the Serbian Finance Ministry. On Tuesday, the first day of the talks, the main topics of the plenary meeting at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) were the plan for reforms that would lead to a decrease in the public debt and the country's draft budget for 2013. “It is very important for Serbia to enter into a new arrangement with the IMF, since this would be one the indicators of Serbia's stability and a sign that the country is slowly emerging from serious fiscal problems,” First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said. “The new arrangement would indicate that the measures of fiscal consolidation "are something that might enable Serbia to develop," he stressed.
