SARAJEVO Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) leader Milorad Dodik and Social Democratic Party (SDP) leader Zlatko Lagumdzija have agreed to cooperate. The agreement on cooperation is based on concrete measures aimed at speeding up the economic development and making an efficient and rational public administration. Bosnian party leaders agree on cooperation The agreement will be presented to Dodik and Lagumdzija’s partners - Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ), Croatian Democratic Union 1990 and Party for Better Future of Bosnia-Herzegovina (SBB). After the talks, that lasted almost seven hours, Dodik and Lagumdzija reached a series of agreements on changes to the Law on Civil Servants, harmonized a procedure for the appointment of main prosecutors that will be led by the High Judicial and Prosecutors’ Council (VSTS). They also agreed that prosecutors on all levels will be appointed by legislative bodies, i.e. assemblies and parliaments and that governments will propose candidates from a list determined by the VSTS. Changes to the Election Law of Bosnia-Herzegovina have also been agreed and they envisage closed electoral lists and closing of the central vote counting facility. The SNSD leader especially pointed to the agreement on abolishment of a currency clause and an agreement on changes to the Law on Central Bank of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Foreign-Trade Chamber and Corridor C5. Dodik and Lagumdzija also agreed that the present electricity transmission network was completely inadequate. They agreed on payment of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s power company Elektroprenos’ dividends to their owners in order for entity governments to be able to obtain cheap capital. “Dodik, Lagumdzija will break up Bosnia” Party of Democratic Action (SDA) leader Sulejman Tihic has accused Dodik and Lagumdzija of “dissolving Bosnia-Herzegovina” and creating a “union of entities in Bosnia-Herzegovina”. According to Tihic, this is a long-time dream of certain politicians in the Republic of Srpska (RS). “The state is being sold for the sake of staying in power, of keeping empty and worthless positions. This is an irrational and unreasonable policy, just like everything that Mr. Lagumdzija has been doing since 2010 is unreasonable. This blind obedience of the whole SDP party structure is surprising. Besides, everyone that thought differently is gone. Only the blind followers have remained,” he stressed. Tihic claims that Lagumdzija has paid a high price, to the detriment of Bosnia-Herzegovina, to stay in power. Milorad Dodik (FoNet, file) Tanjug
