“No Kosovo solution without EU”

BELGRADE Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic has stated that it is good that Serbian and Kosovo PMs Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci met on Friday. He told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that he hoped that some people would now understand why he had shaken hands with Thaci in Dubrovnik in July. “No Kosovo solution without EU” Tadic repeated that Serbia could not solve the Kosovo issue without the EU and without being on the EU pathway. “This is good, excellent. I do not want to act like Dacic who declared my handshake with Thaci a defeat of our state policy. This is good and we should continue down the road. I hope that somebody understands after today’s meeting why I shook hands with Thaci,” the DS leader told RTS. “We are grateful but it is not enough that Russia and China have a positive stance on Kosovo and Metohija and we need to pay attention to all UN Security Council members,” he said. Tadić repeated that Serbia could not solve the Kosovo issue without the EU and without being on the EU pathway.
