BELGRADE Army chief Lt. Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic has said that the military plane crash which killed one pilot likely occurred after controls on the aircraft malfunctioned. "It is too early to say why the plane crashed with the information we have at the moment. According to the statement given by pilot Tomislav Begovic, the aircraft's controls malfunctioned, but we still do not know the details and the investigation will show what exactly happened," Dikovic said. He added that the crash occurred during a regular test flight on the plane - the domestically produced training aircraft Lasta - while Major Goran Savić, who was killed in the crash, was taking an exam for his test pilot license.
