BELGRADE Opposition LDP party leader Cedomir Jovanovic has criticized PM Ivica Dacic for being "frivolous and behaving irresponsibly": "The incitement against Europe, the pathetic nationalism, one day he's partitioning Kosovo with Albania, the next day he explains that it doesn't matter whether it's a footnote or an asterisk, and that he only respects the agreements reached by the previous government, that has nothing to do with because he was its first deputy PM - that's irresponsible." Opposition politician calls PM "irresponsible, frivolous" Jovanovic spoke during a news conference in Belgrade on Sunday, and one of the questions he took was "whether Dacic was up to the task of being a prime minister since his behavior was reminiscent of stand-up comedians". Jovanovic responded by saying that the citizens voted for Dacic, "a rare politician who behaved the same before and during the campaign": "He was signing 'Miljacka' before and after the elections, only the locations where he sang it changed, Brussels and Sarajevo, and Dacic's office. This is the kind of Dacic that people have voted for and he is a rare one who doesn't have to have a problem with that, except for a personal one. The problem is in the fact he is frivolous and at the same time believes that this type of behavior is what Serbia needs, while it's another matter whether people agree with it." He stressed that leaders, however, must be aware of the first characteristic of leadership - and that it is personal responsibility. "Dacic's behavior is irresponsible," said Jovanovic. The LDP leader stated that Dacic was behaving the way he always had, "which is not the case with Aleksandar Vucic, Mladjan Dinkic, and Tomislav Nikolic". Jovanovic further said that Dacic had been explaining to the citizens every day that they were poor because banks were robbing them, "and then makes his business council where he sits along with bank directors with whom he did not clear up this issue and notify the public". "What is before us for that reason can be confusing," noted Jovanovic, and added:"It will not be directed at a rational solution. Athens didn't find its happiness in burned banks and bank clerks. We don't need it, and we are masters of that sort of thing. We need a plan." (file) Beta
