Obradovic was a former head of Serbia office of the Czech company CEZ, during which time he was "very interested in a strategic partnership and investment in EPS". In one of his interviews from that period, Obradovic said that Serbia made no investments in production facilities for 20 years and that for this reason there was "negative balance - because it spent more than it produced".
