A plate with the name of the street named after Zoran Djindjic was also removed. Commenting on the situation, Vucic, who is Serbia's first deputy PM and SNS leader, stated that the appearance of the graffiti was a reflection of "a bad atmosphere" in the town that is the administrative seat of the province, describing Pavlicic at the same time as "one of the worst mayors in Serbia". His party on Monday announced that it had secured a new local coalition to remove the mayor from office. "I condemn the graffiti that speak badly of political opponents. By that I mean both the current mayor and Canak, but also the one that appeared last night, 'Serbs get out of Vojvodina'...," Vucic told B92, and stressed that "the police should deal with the issue". Meanwhile, the local branch of the SNS announced that the chauvinist messages that appeared near its office will be removed during the day.
