KRAGUJEVAC B92 Fund’s "Battle for the Babies“ continued with the handing over of two more incubators to the Neonatology Center of the Clinical Center Kragujevac. 11 incubators in all handed over to Kragujevac hospital Dragan Jovovic, General Manager of Kragujevac based company Takovo Osiguranje, presented an incubator to the Clinic, while a donor form Jordan, Nader Saleh Atwana, delivered an incubator to the Center for Newborns. Jovovic pointed out that only after touring this Center did he realize how successful and necessary this campaign is, both for the youngest patients whose lives are saved in those institutions, but also for the medical staff who provide better conditions in practicing medicine. Jovovic added that this donation is surely not the last one, as in the forthcoming period, his company will try to direct more funds to such humanitarian purposes. So far, within this campaign, the Clinical Center Kragujevac got eleven new incubators thanks to donors, both for the Center for Neonatology and Center for Newborns. Incubators for the Center for Newborns were provided by: Piraeus Bank and Nader Saleh Atwana, while for Neonatology Unit of the Pediatric Clinic, among the donors are: the Ministry of Justice, Tomislav Nikolic, Milan Popovic, ProCredit Bank, Company Mercator, Credy Bank, Restaurant "Tabor“ from Belgrade, National Bank of Serbia, Yura Corporation (two incubators) and Takovo Osiguranje. How significant this donation is can be seen from the fact that Neonatology Center takes care of 350 babies on annual basis from the ten maternity wards from the territory of central and western Serbia, as well from the northern Kosovska Mitrovica and Raska District – from Tutin to Novi Pazar. For all those youngest patients of the Clinical Center Kragujevac, incubators are of utmost importance, while those presently used in the Neonatology Center are more than 20 years old. “I am glad that with this delivery we have resolved the needs for incubators in Kragujevac. Now we launch new campaign 'Battle for Maternity Wards' as the local maternity ward lacks neonatal ventilators, aspirators, reanimation tables, pulse oximeters, monitors for monitoring vital parameters, infusion pumps, as well as lamps for phototherapy. We ask all donors to contact B92 Fund so that we can fully equip this maternity ward, so that mothers and babies could get the best possible care“, Veran Matic, President of B92 Fund’s Board of Directors said on this occasion. Professor Dr Aleksandar Zivanovic, Chief of Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the Clinical Center Kragujevac was present during incubator delivery, stating his satisfaction by participating in this campaign, as in this way, intensive care units within maternity ward had fully provided its needs for the incubators. “In the follow-up of this campaign, our attention will be directed towards maternity wards, thus providing deficient equipment in order to raise the level of professional services offered to the mothers and babies”, he concluded. Professor dr Zoran Igrutinovic, Chief of Pediatric Clinic thanked B92 Fund and other donors again on expressing great understanding for the needs of this institution. Within this campaign, total number of ten incubators was provided for the Neonatology Center, which significantly raised the quality of care of the newborn infants. Thanks to B92 Fund’s campaign, basic needs for incubators in both institutions are satisfied. B92 Fund invites all people and companies to join us in this battle where we will fight for every single maternity ward, for every new life, for every newborn baby - heroes cannot make it on their own, let’s help them win.
