Minister says he “would revoke Kosovo bonus”

Serbia’s Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanović has stated that he would cancel the payment of the so-called Kosovo bonus.

CAGLAVICA Serbia’s Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic has stated that he would cancel the payment of the so-called Kosovo bonus. The minister stressed that he would stop the payment of the remaining 50 percent of the bonus given to employees in the Serbian institutions in the province due to manipulations. Minister says he “would revoke Kosovo bonus” He told KiM Radio that he did not feel responsible for the fact that the so-called Kosovo bonus was reduced by 50 percent during his mandate. “People in central Serbia do not even have bread to eat and some people are throwing money around in Kosovo,” Bogdanovic noted. “I would like to tell all citizens in Kosovo that if I had a say in it, I would cancel the remaining 50 percent because there are many manipulations and people who do not deserve it,” the minister explained. He said he understood the criticism that the Ministry for Kosovo should have been more present in the province and denied that the ministry was employing party officials. “We opened offices in Kosovska Mitrovica and Gracanica and they were very active. Unfortunately, due to well-known situation and arrogance and the policy of the so-called Kosovo government which wanted to prevent our presence at all costs, we were unable to stay in Kosovo any longer,” he concluded.
