Serbian FM Vuk Jeremić stated on Monday that significant progress has been made in friendly relations between China and Serbia in the past several years.

BEIJING Serbian FM Vuk Jeremic stated on Monday that significant progress has been made in friendly relations between China and Serbia in the past several years. Speaking in Bejing, Jeremic added that the friendship between the two peoples lasts for decades. FM Jeremic: Relations with China on rise "It was a great honor for me to take part in the process of establishing strategic partnership between Serbia and China, which will contribute to further development of mutual relations," Jeremic said after meeting with his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi, according to China Radio International. Yang pointed to the significance and the role of the United Nations (UN) at the beginning of the meeting and congratulated Jeremic on being elected President of the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly. The Chinese foreign minister also voiced hope that Jeremic's visit to China will contribute to further development of mutual relations and activities in the UN. Jeremic arrived in Beijing on Monday and is to meet China Vice-President Xi Jinping on Tuesday. (Beta) Tanjug
