Democrats: New government has no chance of success

BELGRADE The Democratic Party (DS) has assessed on Wednesday that the new government cannot represent a positive step. The DS added that it would not bring progress to Serbian citizens either. But it is clear that those who have already left plenty behind got that chance and that Serbia with (Socialist Party of Serbia leader Ivica) Dacic, (New Serbia leader) Velja Ilic and (United Regions of Serbia leader Mladjan) Dinkic does not have a lot of chance of success,” the DS said in a release. The Democrats pointed out that the citizens who voted for the economic changes were deceived because the changes would not be brought by those who had been leading the Serbian economy for 12 years. “The biggest issue, however, is the issue of legitimacy of the government in which the sixth-ranked party is holding all the power and five ministries which betrayed the citizens’ will. By voting for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the citizens certainly did not vote for Dinkic and a chance for him to continue to run the country,” the DS pointed out. The Democrats are certain that the new government will privatize and ruin the institutions. “Nobody is asking about Dacic and Dinkic’s responsibility for the difficult situation in the country, how it is possible that those who have been running the economy for 12 years were not held responsible but they are lamenting over the difficult situation,” reads the release.
