PM-Designate Ivica Dacic said late on Friday that the process of the forming of the future Serbian government was well underway. He added that the only remaining thing to do was to harmonize the program guidelines, work on the government's structure and decide on the personnel. “Process of government forming well underway” The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader pointed out that the coalition agreement between the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the SPS-led and the United Regions of Serbia (URS) should be signed next week. Dacic told reporters that the coalition partners had received a draft coalition agreement from the SNS and that the document would be considered by representatives of the coalition - the SPS, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) and the United Serbia (JS), and added that the parties would define what issues from their program were important and should be part of the agreement. "After harmonizing the coalition agreement with the SNS and the URS and after its signing, preparations for holding a session of the republic parliament and the selection of the new government would follow," the SPS leader said. He also pointed out that "now it only remains to harmonize the program guidelines and work on the government structure, that is the responsibilities of each ministry, after which decisions on the personnel would follow." After Friday's talks with representatives of the SNS and the URS, Dacic confirmed that the government should have approximately 15 ministries but added that the issue was still being discussed.
