Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantic says EULEX prosecutor Neeta Amin issued indictments against seven citizens from northern Kosovska Mitrovica. The mayor described the move as "more pressure on Serbs to accept Kosovo's institutions". "EULEX indictments mean more pressure on Serbs" At Thursday's joint meeting of four Serb communities in northern Kosovo, held in Kosovska Mitrovica, Pantic said that the indictments against the seven persons alleged that they had been involved in a murder and had been putting up resistance against international forces in Kosovska Mitrovica in February 2008. The indictment, filed against Marjan Ilincic, Zoran Cavic, Dragan Milojevic, Miodrag Ralic, Avni Krasniqi, Aleksandar Arsenijevic and Nebojsa Jovic, charges the seven men with the murder of a Ukrainian policeman in riots before the Court in Kosovska Mitrovica and a host of other crimes. “The Municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica and the Republic of Serbia will provide all kinds of legal assistance to citizens in the province who have been falsely accused before the courts controlled by the so-called Government of Kosovo, whose instructions are implemented by EULEX judges and prosecutors,” said Pantic. “An evidence proving that EULEX is not impartial, as claimed by (EULEX chief) Xavier de Marnhac, is the seal on the indictment, signed by the international prosecutor, which reads 'Republic of Kosovo',” said Pantic. He added that Serbs were not satisfied with the work of the UNMIK administration in Kosovska Mitrovica because over the previous few months, they had been assigning land plots to Albanians who had never lived in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. The land plots are given to them to build houses in order to change the situation on the ground by force and put the Bosnjacka Mahala settlement under their control, said Pantic. He urged UNMIK and regional administrators to become more actively involved in solving these problems and not to allow illegal construction and the “violence by the Albanian institutions in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.” Tanjug

At Thursday's joint meeting of four Serb communities in northern Kosovo, held in Kosovska Mitrovica, Pantić said that the indictments against the seven persons alleged that they had been involved in a murder and had been putting up resistance against international forces in Kosovska Mitrovica in February 2008.

The indictment, filed against Marjan Ilinčić, Zoran Čavić, Dragan Milojević, Miodrag Ralić, Avni Krasniqi, Aleksandar Arsenijević and Nebojša Jović, charges the seven men with the murder of a Ukrainian policeman in riots before the Court in Kosovska Mitrovica and a host of other crimes.

“The Municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica and the Republic of Serbia will provide all kinds of legal assistance to citizens in the province who have been falsely accused before the courts controlled by the so-called Government of Kosovo, whose instructions are implemented by EULEX judges and prosecutors,” said Pantić.

“An evidence proving that EULEX is not impartial, as claimed by (EULEX chief) Xavier de Marnhac, is the seal on the indictment, signed by the international prosecutor, which reads 'Republic of Kosovo',” said Pantić.

He added that Serbs were not satisfied with the work of the UNMIK administration in Kosovska Mitrovica because over the previous few months, they had been assigning land plots to Albanians who had never lived in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.

The land plots are given to them to build houses in order to change the situation on the ground by force and put the Bošnjacka Mahala settlement under their control, said Pantić.

He urged UNMIK and regional administrators to become more actively involved in solving these problems and not to allow illegal construction and the “violence by the Albanian institutions in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.”
