Ex-Macedonian PM Ljubcho Georgievski claims that he and late Serbian PM Zoran Djindjic discussed exchange of territory between Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni avaz writes that this is one of the most exclusive details in Georgievski’s autobiography dubbed “This is me” which should be published soon. Ex-Macedonian PM: Djindjic wanted exchange of territory Georgievski, who was the first leader of the now ruling VMRO-DPMNE and who also has a Bulgarian citizenship, revealed a series of so far unknown facts from Macedonia’s recent history in his book. Among other things, he said that he had spent 15 minutes talking to former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic while he was visiting former Macedonian Interior Minister Ljube Boshkoski in the Scheveningen prison. The former Macedonian PM confirmed that he had been invited to the White House in 1999 and that then U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had asked for permission for NATO ground forces to attack Serbia from the Macedonian territory. He stressed he had said yes but that the U.S. and NATO’s plan had not been implemented. Commenting on the current state-political strategy, Georgievski concluded that the “Macedonians are the biggest counterfeiters of the Balkan history” and that they would dearly regret “renouncing St. Clement and St. Naum”.
